One of those spacious bar restaurants that has the fireplace and ambience that relaxes you. Food was excellent and staff impeccable. Would go again
Had our works Xmas party here. Best party night we have had. Food was plentiful and absolutely delicious. Waiting staff were so friendly. Bar area was well staffed. Brilliant Night, would definitely recommend and we will be booking up for next year.
If you want to have a pint around Christmas time when parties are being held probably best to give this place a miss!!Visited with a friend and bought 2 pints at the bar and sat down in 2 of the 4 places that were available (all other seating taken up by guests who had come to eat).Within 5 minutes was asked to move (by the manager?)to the only other 2 seats available which were exactly the same distance from the party group but on the other side of the room!Manager said that he acknowledged that we had bought drinks at the bar but that "party goers had paid a lot of money to be there!"Promptly drank up and went to another local pub where we were extended the usual friendly welcome and thanks for our custom.
Great food and wonderful service. They were very family friendly and had no problem with my niece and nephew toddling about. They seem to get better with every visit.
